As a community we ALL await the arrival of the Covid 19 vaccines with much anticipation and hopefully, the return of some degree of normality to our daily lives.
At Beechlawn Medical Centre, we hope to be in a position to commence the roll out of the community Covid 19 vaccination programme over the coming weeks.
As per HSE guidelines, this community vaccination programme will start with that portion of society most vulnerable to this illness, those aged over 70, on a phased basis, based on age.
We aim to contact our patients in this priority group over the coming weeks by SMS/text message to invite them to register for an appointment via our secure online booking system. We would ask that if you are having trouble booking an appointment via this route to ask a family member, neighbour or friend for assistance.
Our admin team will have NO ACCESS to the scheduling of these appointments and are unable to arrange appointments by telephone.
Please note….WE HAVE NO DISCRETION AS TO WHO RECEIVES THE VACCINE and are unable to maintain/operate a priority list.
Should you have any questions relating to the Covid 19 vaccines or the priority in which the HSE/Department of Health to intend to distribute them, PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT RECEPTION. We must keep our phone lines as free as possible to allow those who are unwell and need medical assistance to contact us.
