Our vaccination programme is in full swing here at Beechlawn Medical Centre. We vaccinated our first cohort of vulnerable patients aged over 85 years over the course of the week of February 15th and are starting our next cohort, those aged over 80 years this week, March 1st.
As stated in previous posts, our ability to vaccinate is entirely dependent upon vaccine supply. We hope to have deliveries of vaccines to administer every two weeks until all our over 70s have been vaccinated.
We will contact our patients via SMS/text message when it is your turn for vaccination to provide a link for you to arrange your vaccine appointment. For people without mobile phones we will make alternative arrangements but in the first instance, if you could nominate a family member or neighbour to assist.
Finally, given the size and importance of the task and numbers of patients involved, our resources will be stretched and so we ask our patients to please be patient with us as our response time to your queries may not be as prompt as you would like. We will have a GP available during our vaccination times for emergencies and urgent queries however routine appointments will need to be re-scheduled.
Be safe
