In view of the rapidly evolving situation with the COVID 19 pandemic and in particular the impact of the Omicron variant there has been a decision made by NPHET, in conjunction with the Department of Health and the HSE to rapidly expand the COVID 19 vaccination booster programme over the coming four weeks in a bid to vaccinate as much of the population as possible over that time.
This push will involve mass vaccination clinics, GPs and pharmacies.
As part of this drive, Beechlawn Medical Centre will be significantly upscaling the number of vaccine clinics being run over this time period. Please note, this may impact on our ability to complete non-urgent, routine tasks, HOWEVER we remain OPEN and available to our patients.
With regard to vaccination clinics, please see the below….
- Time intervals
- The interval between primary vaccination and the booster dose is now 3 months, except…
- 6 month interval applies to patients who were diagnosed with a COVID 19 infection and who were fully vaccinated
- 1 month interval applies to patients who were diagnosed with COVID 19/onset of symptoms and who were only partially vaccinated
- 3 month interval applies to immunocompromised patients who have already received their third vaccine (as part of their primary schedule)
- The interval between primary vaccination and the booster dose is now 3 months, except…
